My name is Colton Follett and I am the Owner/Operator of Cast & Drift Fly Fishing. I grew up on the west coast and have been fishing since I was 8 years old on the central coast of California. I first fell in love with the outdoors when my parents couldn’t get me to come home for dinner on time. And then when fishing was so accessible, it’s all I could do and never stopped. I’ve lived in Northern California for 14 years and every year I get deeper and deeper into the wilderness to become the outdoorsmen I am today. Lakes, creeks, rivers if it looks like it has fish I’ll throw my line in the water. I strive to remain a student of Mother Nature and the wilderness we have at our finger tips here in northern California. I have a friend who took me on a steelhead fishing trip on a river near here and it ignited my fire and I’ve never stopped since then to fly fish as much as possible. And with that came the wanderlust to get more remote and try and catch fish and hunt where most people won’t go. I’ve worked in customer service for half my life and with that experience and my love for the outdoors I’ve discovered guiding. My goal is to serve you the best I can and curate an experience that excites you enough to keep coming back. When I came up with Cast & Drift the base principals are invested in the clients experience and great fishing. I aim to create experiences that are catered to you and your desires and hook into some lips along the way! I have a core group of friends that have helped me get to this point and they help make sure these goals come to life as well behind the scenes. we are excited to get you on the water and see you have an epic experience!
